Water levels have dropped to near summer levels in recent weeks and fishing has been great!  The smallies have moved from spawing areas and have settled into their summer areas.  Rock banks, wingdams and running sloughs have been producing lots of good fish.  Largemouths are nearly done spawning and are starting to bite good again.  Still taking over a 3 pound average to cash a check in local tournaments.

Walleye fishing has improved.  We had a fish in the 8 pound class on a guide trip last Saturday, as well as some nice keeper sized fish.  Jigs with live bait presentations and crankbaits have been productive.

Panfish action is good.  Bluegills are on the beds and anglers are having a ball catching them on fly rods.  Mud and channel cat fishing is also very good right now.  Some real monsters are being taken!

Summer is a very good time to enjoy the beauiful Mississippi and Wisconsin River here in SW Wisconsin.  I have open dates and would love to take you fishing!

Good fishing,
