Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 6/18/11 We were given some gifts this past week with over cast skies, north breeze, rain and slightly cooler temperatures, this definitely helped the fishing some. The week was really very good although we probably missed as many fish as we caught. The good news for me was the frog bite is starting to raise its head and the fun of top water fishing with a frog has just begun. Although the frog bite fish were not real big they were a bunch of fun, and you know that it won’t be long before the bigger fish move off the ledges and into the grass. We did spend one day just working ledges and found a bunch of fish and caught some bigger fish but also caught all different species, catfish, stripers, white bass, spots, drum and large mouth. It’s just amazing how many fish you can catch on a ledge, it’s real easy to put 50 fish in the boat in a couple of hours if you get on the rite ledge and don’t care if it’s a drum or a bass. Fishing is good, we are having fun and catching fish, sure there is some down time but the day is most definitely worth it. Come fish with me I have days open this up-coming week to fish with you.
