Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 11/28/10
With just a few days on the lake in the early part of the week, as I took some time off for the Thanksgiving holiday, my report might be a little dated. The results early in the week however were really good in fact it was probably the most typical fall pattern week I have experienced this year. The bass were bunched up, around the bait and hitting reaction baits.
All you had to do was find some activity and you were catching fish; in fact there was bait moving in the back ends of every creek we fished in so finding them was pretty easy. As typical in the fall numbers were very good putting 30 plus fish in the boat but size was a little harder to come by. The biggest fish was only in the 3 pound range so we really didn’t find anything big at all.
I fished mainly up river this week, as I always find the upper river more active as we move into the winter fishing months. Most of our fish came on rattle baits or Punisher spinner baits working around the activity. A few good days for a short week on Guntersville; but some great results and some great fun you just had to be on the water to experience it!
