Use the nighttime models for after dark angling over weedbeds or around laydowns or other forms of shallow structure. Stephen Headrick, "The Smallmouth Guru", recommends selecting head weight based on how deep you intend to fish. The deeper you’re fishing the heavier your spinnerbait should be.
